The animals of Manor Farm learn about an ideal way of life from the old boar, Major. This inspires them to drive out Farmer Jones and take control of the farm themselves. But when the rebellion is over and Animal Farm has been created, it soon becomes clear that the animals, led by the pigs, Napoleon and Snowball, are not all as equal as they first thought.
