The Seven Days of Creation (Bereshit) / This work is one in a series of collaberations between artist Yoram Raánan and author Raphael Ruderman. It is a unique fusion of Art and Torah, poetry and commentary. It emerges from a close reading of traditional texts combined with a freedom of style and spontaneity of expression.
The account of the seven days of creation has always played a similar role in renewing the spiritual life of the Jewish people. The drama of the beginning takes the world back to its primordial formlessness when the spirit of the creator hovered over the depths, a presence both palpable and overpowering. Lovingly, the Creator brings forth a world with all of its distinctions, colours and creatures.
