A Will To Survive / Phillips, a non-Jewish war correspondent and photographer working the Middle East in 1948, was attached to the Arab Legion for their 1948 assault on the Jews of the Old City of Jerusalem. He documents the Arab attack and, finally, the Jewish surrender of the Old City. Phillips then provides follow-up, three decades later, interviewing some 50 of the people who appeared in his photographs.
