The Life and Times of General Two-Gun Cohen / The life in troubled times of Morris Cohen who earned his sobriquet in the service of Dr. Sun Yat-sen follows the wandering footsteps of an unsettled character who was finally steadied by his devotion to the cause of China. London born, Morris left for Canada at 16, where his mixed (and dubious) activities brought him into contact with the Chinese there, and roused his interest in Dr. Sun. After World War I, he became the third aide de camp (bodyguard) of Dr. Sun, recruited arms, joined in his family life, and shared the dedication of the great revolutionary whose last words were ""Peace... struggle... save China"". Cohen continued to work for China in various capacities; brushed up against the British Navy, pirates, missionaries, the Japanese; and with the outbreak of World War II went to the aid of Mme. Sun, and in the fallen city of Hongkong awaited the certain arrest and internment there.... The life of a professional troubleshooter, this has the durable resilience of his enthusiasm and energy- But for whom?
