From Kaifeng To Shanghai : Jews In China. / - In 1997the Monumenta Serica Institute and the China-Zentrum organized an exhibition and an international colloquium (September 22—26, 1997) on the history of Jews in China "From Kaifeng to Shanghai — Jews in China".
The exhibition was staged at the ethnological museum "Haus Völker und Kulturen" in Sankt Augustin and included the Shanghai woodcuts of the German-born Jewish artist David Ludwig Bloch who lived in exile in Shanghai from 1940—1949. On the occasion of the exhibition, these woodcuts were published in book-form in a trilingual edition (German — English — Chinese):
