《天上的星星不簡單》是特別為宣傳推廣《全民國家安全教育日》的首本本地彩色兒童繪本創作，旨在通過輕鬆的手法，用故事形式，以祖國在航天科技方面的輝煌成就為引子，帶出太空安全的概念，並進一步宣傳「總體國家安全觀」的要旨、十多個重點領域，以及維護「國家安全 護我家園」，人人有責的信息。
 
"Wonders of the Stars" is the first children picture book created locally to promote the "National Security Education Day". The interesting story highlights China's great achievements in aerospace science and technology to bring out the basic concepts of outer space security, the essential elements of "A Holistic Approach of National Security", and twenty major fields of national security, and the key message of "Uphold National Security, Safeguard Our Home".
